This bottling is the ninth exclusive release for The White Stag community—Arran’s worldwide fan club—and was released in 2024.

The Cask Selection

The uniqueness of this expression comes from the careful marrying of two distinct casks that were aged one year apart, chosen by Lochranza Distillery Manager, Stewart Bowman:

A 13-Year-Old Port Pipe Puncheon: Port pipes typically impart rich red fruit, dark chocolate, and spicy notes.

A First-Fill Sherry Hogshead: Sherry casks, particularly First-Fill, are renowned for delivering abundant sweet spices, dried fruit (like dates and raisins), and a deep, complex sweetness.

This combination was selected toshowcase the intensely fruity side of Arran by layering the distillery’s signature citrus and orchard fruit profile with the rich, deep fruit and spice characteristics from the fortified wine casks.
