According to early distillery notes for the 2026 edition, the inclusion of 5% rum casks alongside the bourbon and sherry influence provides a vibrant, tropical twist to the classic maritime character.
Tasting Notes
Nose: A bright start with marzipan, white chocolate, and raspberries, followed by marmalade, heather honey, and a hint of old leather.
Palate: Rich and thick. Deep notes of treacle, brambles, and blackcurrants are balanced by nutmeg, dark chocolate, and that signature oily texture.
Finish: Long and coastal with a gentle peat smoke and a lingering saltiness.
