Tasting Profile:
Because of the higher Bourbon influence, the 2022 release is often described as “brighter” and more tropical than other years.
Nose: Maraschino cherries and salted caramel, backed by the classic “Springbank funk” (damp hay, earthy warehouse notes) and a light, maritime peat smoke.
Palate: Thick and oily. Initial bursts of pineapple, orange zest, and guava transition into savory notes of gingerbread, salted pretzels, and a hint of soot.
Finish: Long and drying with dark chocolate, baked apples, and a touch of aniseed.
