The second release in The Macallan’s Home Collection series, which celebrates the natural beauty and heritage of the distillery’s estate. Following the first release, “The Distillery,” this expression pays tribute to the majestic River Spey, which flows through the heart of the estate.

Release: The Macallan Home Collection River Spey was released in 2024. It is a single malt Scotch whisky that honours the river’s significance as both an enduring source of inspiration and the essential water source for Macallan’s whisky production.

Cask Selection: Macallan Home Collection River Spey is a non-age statement whisky with an ABV of 44.8%.

Tasting Notes:

Colour: Raw Umber.

Nose: Rich raisin and sultana, cinnamon, apple, pear, sweet oak, treacle sponge, and vanilla.

Palate: Sultana, rich velvety butterscotch, toasted oak, chocolate, and nutmeg with a hint of anise.

Finish: A medium finish with notes of toasted oak and spice.

Limited Edition: The Macallan Home Collection River Spey is a limited release. It was initially available from The Macallan’s official boutiques and travel retail locations, as well as through an online ballot.
