Tasting Notes:
The dominant use of refill bourbon casks keeps the wood influence secondary, allowing the signature chalky and oily spirit to step forward.
Nose: Soft and bright. It opens with malty cereals, yellow apples, lemon meringue pie, and orange peel. Underneath the fruit is a delicate, earthy hint of wax and a faint puff of candle smoke.
Palate: Surprisingly powerful compared to the delicate nose. It delivers a dense, coating, waxy mouthfeel. Tropical fruits, pear drops, and honey transition into richer, darker notes of milk chocolate, star anise, and licorice.
Finish: Long and deeply coastal. Brine and waxy minerals carry through, rounded off by a very gentle wave of soft peat smoke and enduring dry oak spice.
