Cask Maturation: The whisky is matured in a combination of first- and second-fill bourbon casks, and then finished in a blend of heavily charred American oak casks and Pedro Ximénez (PX) sherry butts. This dual-cask finishing process is what gives Victoriana its unique and complex character, balancing sweet and spicy notes with a signature Campbeltown maritime influence.
Cask Strength: It’s bottled at cask strength 54.2% ABV, without chill filtration or added colouring. This preserves the natural oils and full-bodied flavour of the whisky, giving it a rich and robust character.
Name & Inspiration: The name “Victoriana” is a tribute to Campbeltown’s rich history as the “Victorian Whisky Capital of the World,” a period when the town was home to over 30 distilleries and its whiskies were highly sought after.
