Casamigos Reposado Tequila 70cl
£51.00
Casamigos Reposado is the “middle child” of the Casamigos family, often cited as the crowd-pleaser for its approachable, dessert-like profile. Created by George Clooney and Rande Gerber (and sold to Diageo in 2017), it remains a benchmark for the “ultra-smooth” style of tequila.
The Flavor Profile
Casamigos is famous for its vanilla-forward character. Unlike more traditional “earthy” tequilas, this is designed to be soft and sweet.
Aroma: Heavy notes of caramel, cocoa, and butterscotch.
Palate: Dried fruits, spicy oak, and a very distinct “cake batter” or vanilla bean sweetness.
Texture: Silky and viscous; it coats the mouth more than a standard blanco.

Description
How It’s Made
The “secret sauce” of Casamigos is the length of their processes, which aims to strip away the harshness often found in younger spirits.
Aging: It rests for 7 months in American White Oak barrels (standard Reposado requirement is 2 months, so this leans toward the older side).
Slow Cooking: The agave piñas are roasted in traditional brick ovens for 72 hours, significantly longer than the industrial autoclaves used by mass-market brands.
Extra-Slow Fermentation: They use a unique yeast strain and ferment for 80 hours, which contributes to the signature creamy mouthfeel.
