Tasting Notes
The Glendronach 18 Year Old is widely considered a benchmark for a high-quality, sherry-matured whisky. The 2024 bottling continues this tradition.
Nose: Rich and complex, with deep notes of fudge, muscovado sugar, and fruit compote. There are also prominent aromas of morello cherries, raisins, and a hint of dark chocolate.
Palate: Rich, dark, and seductive. Flavours of stewed fruits, allspice, toasted walnut bread, and chocolate orange are commonly found. The influence of the mature Oloroso sherry is very apparent.
Finish: Long and luxurious, leaving a lasting impression of dried fruits and a subtle, pleasant spiciness.
