Unlike most Springbank releases which feature a mix of sherry and bourbon wood, this expression is matured 100% in Ex-Bourbon casks, making it a “naked” look at the distillery’s raw, oily spirit.

In the UK, “Proof” historically referred to a spirit’s ability to ignite when mixed with gunpowder. Under the British system (unlike the American system where Proof is simply double the ABV), 100 Proof equals 57.1% ABV.
