Peat Level: It has a high phenol content of 72 PPM (Parts per Million), which is significantly higher than the core range Meikle Tòir bottlings (which are around 35 PPM). The name “Turbo” reflects this intense smokiness.
Cask Maturation: The whisky is a combination of spirit aged in American virgin oak casks and Oloroso sherry hogsheads. Specifically, it’s a blend of five American virgin oak casks and four Oloroso hogsheads.

Description
Production: The whisky is non-chill filtered and has no added coloring. The peated spirit is created by taking the “heart of the heart” of the distillate, which contains the highest concentration of phenolic compounds.

Tasting Notes (as per the distillery):
Nose: Manuka honey, toasted caramel, smoked cedarwood, with notes of butterscotch, treacle tart, and spiced orange peel.
Taste: Heather honey, roasted hazelnuts, and baking spices, followed by ginger, mocha, and molasses, with a finish of smouldering oak, dark chocolate, and plum jam.
