Macallan Home Collection The Distillery :

Release: This single malt was released in 2022. It is a tribute to The Macallan’s new, iconic distillery, which opened in 2018.

Cask Selection: It’s an expression matured in a combination of European oak sherry-seasoned, American oak sherry-seasoned, and refill casks. The goal was to create a whisky that reflects the balance between tradition and innovation found at the distillery.

Tasting Notes

Colour: Deep gold.

Nose: Notes of butterscotch, figs, dates, and almond are complemented by polished oak, milk chocolate, and a gentle floral aroma.

Palate: The palate is creamy and smooth, with flavours of butterscotch, oak spice, ginger, and vanilla.

Finish: A medium-length finish with lingering notes of ginger and oak.

Packaging :

The packaging for this release is a key part of its appeal. The Macallan Home Collection box features watercolour artwork by Colin Rizza, a Macallan employee and artist, inspired by the architecture of the distillery. Some releases, particularly those sold at the online boutique, also included a set of giclée art prints.

Limited Edition: As part of limited annual release, The Macallan Home Collection The Distillery was initially sold exclusively at The Macallan Estate Boutique, The Macallan Boutiques in travel retail, and their e-boutiques.
