Tasting Notes
As with all of Glendronach’s single cask releases, Glendronach 29 Year Old 1992 release is prized for its unique and individual character, which is a result of a nearly three-decade maturation in a single Oloroso sherry cask. Oloroso casks are known for imparting a drier, nuttier, and spicier character to the whisky, balancing the rich fruit notes.
Colour: Deep, rich burgundy or mahogany, a clear sign of its long life in a sherry cask.
Nose: Rich aromas of plum, pear, and black grape in treacle. This is followed by nutty toffee and the distinct scent of leather.
