The Design Details

Suntory deliberately replaced their standard clean white/gold presentation for this release to nod to their heritage:

The Label Artwork: The main label features a stylized, deep-gold illustration of the Yamazaki Distillery nestled at the foot of Mount Tennozan, surrounded by a soft, misty graphic.

The Centenary Stamp: Right at the bottom of the main label (and proudly displayed in a gold triangle at the top of the box), it bears the official “100th Anniversary Suntory Whisky” seal.

The Box: The matching dark grey/black presentation box features a bold, oversized cream-colored calligraphic kanji print of “Yamazaki” over a schematic sketch of the copper pot stills.

Tasting Notes (The Mizunara Magic)

Nose: Incredibly floral and sweet. Aromas of ripe peach, tinned pineapple, and persimmon jump out first, chased closely by vanilla cream, orange zest, and a hit of nutty Mizunara oak.
