The Whistlepig 12 Year Old is defined by its innovative cask finishing, which blends the spiciness of rye with the rich, fruity elegance of wine barrels:

Nose: Rich and inviting with caramel, vanilla, and complex winter fruit (plums, raisins). Notes of sponge cake, buttercream icing, and a savory whiff of oak are often present.

Palate: Creamy and soft, with a pleasant duality. The rye spice (cinnamon, nutmeg, anise) is balanced by pronounced red berry sweetness (raspberry, cherry), dried fruit, apricots, dates, and honey. It offers a much softer, less aggressive spice than the 10 Year Old WhistlePig.
