Tasting Notes

Phase	Sensory Notes
Nose	Very aromatic and fresh. Ripe pears and sweet vanilla pods mixed with orange oil, almonds, and a touch of dried ginger.
Palate	Smooth and creamy. It features notes of stewed fruits, rose water, and candied ginger. There is a distinct “Sherry depth” here without it being a “Sherry bomb”—it remains elegant rather than heavy.
Finish	Long and gently peppery. It leaves a lingering sweetness of vanilla and a hint of exotic spices.

Verdict

The 18-year-old is widely considered the “sweet spot” of the Glenrothes range. It captures the distillery’s signature oily texture and pear notes but adds a significant layer of maturity and spice from the long years in sherry wood.
