It continues the trend of being predominantly bourbon-matured, which allows the intense, earthy peat of Campbeltown to shine through alongside bright, creamy notes.

Producer’s Tasting Notes
The producer’s notes highlight a fascinating blend of creamy dessert sweetness, savoury notes, and classic Kilkerran smoke:
Nose: Creamy butterscotch and notes of banana fritters and elderflower kick off this heavily peated dram.
Palate: The peat smoke on the palate is complemented by notes of honeydew melon and the slightly savoury note of Iberico ham.
Finish: The smoke continues in the finish along with notes of verbena (lemon verbena/herbaceousness) and honeycomb.
Kilkerran Heavily Peated Batch 13 is noted for its complexity, providing a powerful Campbeltown peat experience with multiple layers of sweet and savoury influence from the highly active bourbon and sherry casks.
