Macallan Harmony Collection Jing Tea 2025 Release

Description

The Macallan Harmony Collection has recently released a new chapter inspired by the world of tea, in a collaboration with JING Tea, a well-known purveyor of single-garden teas. This is the fifth release in the Harmony Collection series.

The collaboration has resulted in two limited-edition single malt whiskies, both inspired by specific JING teas:

Inspired By Phoenix Honey Orchid Tea (Domestic Release): This whisky is a tribute to a rare oolong tea from China’s Phoenix Mountain range, which is known for its lush dessert wine and exotic fruit aromas. The whisky is predominantly matured in sherry-seasoned American oak casks, with some sherry-seasoned European oak and ex-bourbon casks, resulting in a flavour profile with notes of peach, apricot, floral honey, tropical fruits, toffee, and sweet oak. It is bottled at 43.9% ABV.

Tasting Notes:

Nose: Aromas of summery peach and apricot, floral honey, tropical fruits, toffee, and sweet oak.

Palate: Flavours of fresh peaches in rich syrup, warm citrus, and toffee, with light floral notes that lead to a delicate, tea-like leafy astringency.

Finish: A fruity, sweet, and complex finish.
