Macallan 14 Year Old Animal Ladies – Lady Red Squirrel
£899.00
Macallan 14 Year Old Animal Ladies – Lady Red Squirrel.
The Macallan 14 Year Old “Animal Ladies – Lady Red Squirrel” is an exceptionally rare independent bottling that has become a “unicorn” for collectors of artistic whisky labels.
It was released by The Whiskyfind, a highly regarded Taiwanese independent bottler known for their creative series that blend Scotch whisky with fine art and biological storytelling.
Why is it so rare?
Macallan stopped selling casks to independent bottlers many years ago. Most “Independent Macallans” found today are from older stock or are bottled under “secret” names (like Speyside Region or Old Highland). To see a bottle clearly labeled “Macallan” from an independent bottler like The Whiskyfind is unusual and immediately increases its value to collectors.

Description
Macallan 14 Year Old Animal Ladies – Lady Red Squirrel
The Story & Design
This bottle is part of the “Animal Ladies” collection, a collaboration between The Whiskyfind and the Taiwanese artist Mr. BerryHead (also known as “Strawberry Teacher”).
The Character: The label features “Lady Red Squirrel,” an anthropomorphic depiction of the native British Red Squirrel dressed in elegant, high-fashion Victorian-style clothing.
The Connection: The artist chose the Red Squirrel to represent Macallan because the animal is a beloved inhabitant of the forests around the Macallan estate in Speyside. The squirrel’s habit of gathering nuts and berries mirrors the nutty, dried-fruit “sherry bomb” profile of the whisky itself.
The “Food” Accessories: If you look closely at the artwork, the “Animal Ladies” always wear their food sources as accessories. Lady Red Squirrel is adorned with berries, nuts, and forest fruits.
Tasting Notes
Because it is a single cask bottled at high strength, it is far more intense than a standard Macallan 12 or 15.
Nose: Intense dried pineapple, dark chocolate, and holiday spices (clove and cinnamon).
Palate: Classic Macallan “oiliness” with heavy sherry influence—think stewed plums, walnut cake, and a hint of old leather.
Finish: Long and warming with a lingering “nutty” sweetness typical of high-quality Oloroso casks.
