Yuza Spring in Japan 2024 is a beautifully composed limited-edition single malt that reflects both the seasonal sensitivity and precision often associated with modern Japanese whisky. Produced at Yuza Distillery in Yamagata Prefecture, this authentic Japanese single malt is matured for 4 to 5 years in a marriage of first-fill Bourbon barrels and a smaller selection of ex-Sherry casks, bringing together floral lift, freshness, and subtle richness. Bottled at a natural 55.0% ABV, and left unfiltered, non-chill filtered, and natural in colour, it offers a pure and expressive snapshot of Yuza’s elegant house style.

Unlike some of Yuza’s heavier cask-strength releases, Yuza “Spring in Japan” 2024 leans into a more elegant and seasonal style, balancing lifted orchard fruit and floral top notes with a rich, rounded mouthfeel.
Nose: Fresh and expressive, with spring blossom, white peach, green apple, vanilla, and sweet honey. With time in the glass, softer layers of citrus oil and delicate lavender begin to emerge.
Palate: Creamy and smooth despite the 55.0% ABV, showing notes of toffee, strawberry, honeyed malt, and juicy pear. These sweeter elements are supported by warming baking spices, including white pepper, ginger, and cardamom.
