Rivesaltes Cask Influence: Maturing in a French Rivesaltes wine hogshead imparts rich, sweet, dried fruit, dark honey, and fortified wine notes (raisins, fig, nuttiness) that intermingle with Port Charlotte’s signature industrial and maritime peat smoke.
18-Year Aging:Long aging tames the initial aggressive peat punch of young Port Charlotte spirit, replacing it with a well-integrated, oily, ashy, and complex smoked profile balanced by deep oak tannins and sweet wine undertones.
