The Whisky
Launched in August 2026 at select airports worldwide, Inspired by Toasted Coconut closes the chapter on the Harmony Collection — the annual series that has paired The Macallan’s whisky mastery with inspirations from the natural world since 2021, from cacao to Arabica coffee. Where its domestic sibling is bright and vibrant, this travel exclusive is deliberately the richer of the two expressions, bringing forward a flavour note rarely present in The Macallan: the warm, caramelised sweetness of toasted coconut. Bottled at 43.3% ABV, it is a one-time release — and with the series now complete, the last Harmony bottling there will ever be.
Cask Selection
As ever at The Macallan, the story is written in oak. The Whisky Makers selected sherry-seasoned oak casks naturally rich in the lactones responsible for coconut and cream character, leaning on the deeper, spicier seasoning that defines the house style to conjure the toasted profile — crème caramel warmth and dark sweetness where the Fresh Coconut edition offers zest and brightness. Tasted side by side, the pair form a masterclass in cask influence: the same inspiration, expressed through two different faces of The Macallan’s celebrated wood programme.

Description
Macallan Harmony Collection Inspired by Toasted Coconut
Tasting Notes
Nose: Toasted coconut and crème caramel lead, with white chocolate, vanilla bean, pink grapefruit and a twist of lemon.
Palate: Rich and rounded — caramelised coconut, butterscotch and vanilla cream, layered with sweet oak, citrus and gentle ginger spice.
Finish: Bursts of coconut and floral honey, fading through soft oak and lingering caramel warmth.
Indulgent and dessert-like, it’s a natural after-dinner pour — and a striking contrast to the Sherry Oak house classics.
The Packaging
True to the Harmony Collection’s pioneering sustainable design, the presentation box is crafted from discarded coconut fibres, transformed through an emission-free process into a beautiful, fully recyclable package with a distinctive natural texture. Each Harmony edition’s packaging has become collectible in its own right — and as the final travel-exclusive chapter, this one completes the six-part set.
